I recorded the sound of a coffee machine; In audacity, I reducted the noise to 26db, sensibility to 10 and frequency to 12, then I compressed the sound (threshold-20db, level of noise 40, ratio 3:1 and attacks: 0.10 dry)
The, I offset the gain to 0db after compression and I normalized by deleting any gap cc, and finally, I normalized the amplitude to -7.5db. I obtained a warmer and clearer sound, without noise in the background. I deleted the part with the coffee and only kept the part with money, so it looks like a slot machine in casinos. I didn't add special effects because I think this realistic sound is already interesting to use as it is.
