This sound is an excerpt taken from a larger composition I created during my music degree at Queen's University Belfast in 2003.
I used the Csound programming language and mixed the piece in Pro Tools.
The source material was derived from natural acoustic sounds.
Two main categories were used.
1, Sounds recorded from nature.
2, Sounds recorded from acoustic musical instruments.
The sounds sourced from nature were recorded in and around the following locations:
1, Glassagh Beach, Fanad Head, County Donegal.
2, Errigal Mountain (An Earagail/tEargail), Gweedore, County Donegal.
3, The Botanic Gardens, Belfast.
The sounds recorded from acoustic musical instruments include the following:
Piano, Harpsichord, Xylophone, Triangle, Marimba, Timpani, Bodhrán, Guitar, Flute, Violin, Viola, and Violoncello.

Thanks, yes it's from a larger piece. I'll prob upload the whole track later this year. Am reorganising my studio so it might take a while. I haven't used Freesound in ages, hence the amazingly long delay in replying.

I'm curious about the rest of your composition. Is the whole composition available for listening somewhere online?
