Two kids were doing mobile games in front of me at McDonalds in a public holiday afternoon. It is not very common that kids below 12 years old would sit next to each other and have serious chats over the games they are playing. Most people at this age communicate by whatsapp and other non-verbal means now. I hope this would not be the last generation that could talk meaningfully.
The language they used is Hong Kong Cantonese.
