Birds

Well, I gave it another try and managed to record another nightingale, this time near the river Leine. One can also hear a bloke running by, a distant train and some other birds, like a blackcap and a blackbird.

This nightingale was singing its song in the evening in the undergrowth next to a river in the south of Hannover / Germany, on the 20th of May 2007. I managed to record all this with the Sony HiMD MiniDisc Recorder MZ-NH 1 in the PCM mode and the Soundman OKM II with the A 3 Adapter.

I just read a study that stated when people hear birds singing they subconsciously feel safe. I am going to play this for my dad when he gets out of surgery and is in ICU.

We both love birds and your recording is beautiful.
