metallurgical recording names the process of taking the material organization of sound as a terrain of experimentation. by re-configuring the ways in which resonation occurs, by thinking of the microphone as a creative and constructive interface, we can generate ever-more novel sounds.
Cone Bass Clean. I placed a Tascam dr100mkii underneath a skinny, long, orange traffic cone. The traffic cone was held at a 45 degree angle to the soft dirt. a friend hit the cone with an aluminum stick.
