Rails clicking, trains roaring, doors opening, joints squealing—great train sound here. Angela Saucier recorded this ambient sound on the California Zephyr--somewhere in Iowa, between the dining car and one of the sleeper cars. Recorded with a Rode NTG-1 on an PMD 660. (PMD was overmodulating at low recording levels … very weird. Sorry about that.)
