Jeff Bales recorded this reading from Kerouac about Sal Paradise (Neal Cassidy’s fictional personification), accompanied on flute by David Amram. This was recorded during an urban hike exploring the real and fictional geography of Kerouac’s Denver. He recorded this with the built-in microphone on an Edirol R-09.

Nice flute improvisation and ambient sounds of traffic. The reading is pretty poor, but coherence is not such a big deal with Kerouac, is it?
