Seaport Harbour and river Schelde of Vlissingen in Holland.
this recording starts calm and relaxing. More and more seagoing ships and small pilots enter the river and pass on only 100-150 meter. Later the waves come ashore and hit the dike I am sitting on. During the recording the mum of the ships gets louder and fills the whole ambience. Behind me on the dam a large crane is unloaded. This completes the seaport sound-effect.
Seagulls and Arctic Tern call. The horn of a ship.
Because the waves hit the dike from left to right it gives a nice wide stereo-image.
Recorded: Vlissingen along river Schelde.
Date: May 20th 2015, afternoon.
Gear: Primo EM 172 in AB40 setting in Rode Blimp > Sony PCM D50
