A small training aircraft from Shoreham airport flies over my garden, loops around Seaford Head aeronautical beacon, two miles to the south east, and returns over my garden, back towards Shoreham. Various birds call and sing. MS907 -> MZ-N10 -> iRiver. Sometime last summer.

Yes, there does seem to be some noise. I have normalised this - probably added 12 or 15 dB gain. I would go back and check quieter bits of the same recording - but after extracting this section, I'm afraid I erased the original to recover some space.

I love these sounds, the plane, birds, and others.
Great, great! You rarely fail to catch the chance.

but am I the only one that hear much white noise? Did you record this at low level and normalize after that? or, is it the result of your having left the MS907 in the rain a month or so ago?
