Here's a file fairly representative of the ensoniq fizmo. A wonderfully unusual digital synth which was poorly marketed and had an underspec'ed voltage regulator which damaged it's reputation, and so has been blamed for bankrupting ensoniq.
i'm not really sure how to describe this sound. if R2-D2 was given happy pills and reprogrammed as an 12 bit pleasure bot, he might sound like this.
