Having uncoupled from the coaches No 6046 runs round it's train. The locomotive sits with it's brake pump panting rythmically whilst the fireman trudges to the ground frame and inserts the key to unlock the points. As the S160 pulls back to cross over, the legendary safety valves lift with a roar. The train then passes noisily to connect back up to it's train.
