Cool! :) When I was a kid, the public television here had a quite pompous anthem on an animation panning upwards with abstract antenna-like structures in the clouds, but the following constant sound on the fixed test screen was a poorer, and quite loud, sine wave. :)

It reminds me of the noise you would hear when they stopped transmitting on the television channel (I was a kid). The screen displayed loads of coloured pixels, which later changed to a picture of a little girl, and this was the sound you would hear.
