Considerable work went into creating this file (oddly enough) - it required a process of trial and error until I could establish how to export a file as raw date from Audacity, then find the right settings to import that file.
Then I had to experiment with importing it to PaintShop Pro as a greyscale image. Then save it as raw data and import back into Audacity.
When I could do that I saved the file in PAitshop pro as JPEG.
Then loaded it again and saved it again as raw data.
Then imported into Audacity.
As I expected, the JPEG compression process resulted in some degradation of the original sound file.
