"bruxxing" is when a rodent grinds its teeth. sometimes it can be quite loud. it may seem like a sign of aggression, but it's actually their way of showing they are content. my boys will often brux for lengths of time, but unfortunately I could only catch this little bit. also, they do this thing called "boggling," which is when their eyes seem to be popping from their sockets. as strange as it looks, it means they're REALLY happy.

I just want to say, I appreciated so much running across a reference to rat bruxing and boggling! That made me so happy! :D
