This began with one recording of a metal tablespoon being struck with a second metal spoon. I then trimmed the hardest part of the original attack. Next, I created five additional spoon recordings, each a pitch-shifted and time-shifted version of the original (+100 cents, +200, +400, +800, +1600). I set each of these on a loop, so they would each repeat at a different rate (based on their new length). I did not use normalization on this because despite the visible headroom on the file, any increase in the gain brought out unwanted room noise. I prefer the headroom over the noise.
