For a live audio play at Bielefeld University (a student's drama group) we needed three cool cannon shots. The audio play / reading happened in December 2013. It was a short version of Jules Verne's "20.000 leagues under the sea". It went very well. A non-commercial event. Just for fun.
For these three 'canon shots' I used: 93741 by Omar Alvarado. (Omar himself used free sounds, as well; check out his description page: http://www.freesound.org/people/Omar%20Alvarado/sounds/93741/)
If you use this sound, please credit Omar Alvarado.

Many thanks for this perfect sound of three cannon shots. I used it in my animated series about Bach's life and hopefully you'll enjoy what I did with it. Credits in the end titles and link in the video description of course.
Very best regards,
Peter

Thank you for this lovely sound. I’ve used it here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQzfFR17LuA) in a lore announcement video for my roleplaying server. You’ve been credited in the description. Keep up the great work!

Coincidentially -- plan to use this this in a show as part of another Verne story -- the firing of the Columbiad in From the Earth to the Moon.
