very regular call with a frequency of 10-18 KHz, recorded at night in Doñana (South Spain). Sounds like an insect of some kind, lots of detail. If you can hear it please let me know! Sennheiser ME62 > Shure FP24 > iRiver H120 (rockbox) /una llamada ultrasonica grabada por la noche, me suena como a un insecto pero quién sabe...

Humm... that's classified, but what the heck! :-)
Simply I've got the habit of looking and editing under spectral view... and sounds like this one stand out like a sore thumb.
Spectral view is convenient for me, since I often set the mic in the field and go away to do other tasks. This often results into very large recorded files (30-45 minutes), but with the spectral view I can pinpoint the sounds I want without listening to the whole recording. Besides, spectral view allows to detect bats and other thingies.
BTW, your right about the noise of the disk spinning.

I'm curious to know how you discovered this sound existed? Did someone with you hear it live, or did you decide to analyse some "random" recording at a later time? Good work anyhow. Perhaps a shame it's mono. I can hear something that sounds a bit like the Rockbox disk head seeking, at 1.5 seconds.
