Really superb recording, how did you get so close - only thing is, its a Reed Warbler which is even less colourful (unless like me you like little brown jobs).

Yes indeed. I was about 1 metre from the bird, and could see him by peering through some brambles bordering his ditch. Annoyingly, I didn't have my camera with me ... but I'll be back!

Isn't amazing that such a 'dull' bird can sing this way? :-)
