Thick wooden studio door. Recorded with pair of Neumann U87Ai in XY setup and Yamaha digital desk. The door is to the right, because it worked that way in that particular scene. So it is usefull when you need door on side, not really as one in the center.

Yes I find it best to record more of the same object and keep it in one file. So when it's used you can choose the best "articulation" for the scene and edit the rest away.

Thank you for the sound clip. I plan on using this in a school project. I like how there are multiple opens and closes.
