This was recorded from my windowsill facing onto a tarmac driveway in August 2012. There is the occasional tinkling sound of raindrops hitting a metal gate, some traffic noise, the occasional bit of thunder, and some shouts of people getting wet. At the end, raindrops start falling onto the recorder.

This is fairly heavy rain by Oxford standards; we probably get something like this only a couple of times a year. This fall turned into hail a bit later.

Recorded with a Marantz PMD661.
