Oakland, California, United States

La Guacamaya (The Macaw) one of the most popular songs of the traditional son jarocho genre. The interpreters are Soneros del Tesechoacán, a group originally from Playa Vicente, Veracruz. They play those small guitars -imagine a ukelele in hands of a Mexican- they call Jaranas and also a 4 string guitar they call Requinto. Recorded in Oakland California. January 2012. I used a H2 Zoom.
