Thunderstorm came to Pécel in the afternoon of 2nd, October, 2012. It mainly produced intracloud lightning and anvil crawlers. I hardly could capture lightning on photograph. I recorded the storm by SONY STEREO DICTAPHONE.

However all in all listening to a sound is very different from living through one when you cannot expect or predict and tell people and your dog to "Be careful, lightning is going to struck nearby!". So it is very hard to be used to those crackling and explosion-like sounds of lightning striking only 50 meters away from you or even closer.

You are welcome John_B! My dog doesn't like storms too but she can handly her fear, so she stays calm. She is used to the thunderstorms.

My dog is terrified of thunder & lightning storms.
Your recordings are absolutely brilliant for playing back and gradually increasing the volume over a period of days, so that my dog will hopefully gradually become desensitised to the sound of storms.
