This really starts to sound not like rain at all. you here the sharp transients of the original file very prominent in here, but i like it anyway and think this sounds interesting. maybe with (a lot) imagination this could be rain hitting some hard ground like stone or plastic or something.

It´s basically a short loop of the original file with some effects and equing. You can loop this easily without having unwanted noise or anything if it might be too short.
