Saas-Fee Hannig Wald 01 100710.WAV

Field-recording made in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, at approximately 1800 meters above sea-level. Sony PCM-D50. This one is made at the forest north of the village en route to the Hannig summit. Sounds of insects flying around and many birds singing. Some sound from the wind going through the trees and occasionally some man-made sound from the valley. Two airplanes can be heard in the distance (during the beginning and near the middle of the recording). I left the recorder alone in the forest while continuing walking in order not to disturb the insects and birds. The constant drone in the background is meltwater running from the glaciers into the valley.
