One day I reflected over the sound bubbles in cartoon series magazines and especially the illustration of sound when a bow is pulled and the arrow is triggered. The bubble says 'Twannng'. I made a 4 meters long bow of 3/4 " hard wood and loaded the bow with a thin steel wire. When I trigger this over sized bow, I get a sound which may well translated to 'Twannng'.
