On the roof of a hotel in the Sultanahmet section of Istanbul, less than a kilometer from the Blue Mosque, the sound of the evening prayers echo from tinny loudspeakers throughout the city. The Blue Mosque is the loudest of the adhans, but you can hear others in the distance as well. Recorded on 26 June 2012 at 10.40pm in Istanbul, Turkey using a Zoom H4. High-pass filter.
