Between a bay and an inlet a sheet of ice is left frozen. While there’s plenty more mallards in the bay, groups intermittently fly or waddle over the ice to get to a pond in the inlet, some splashing when they land in the water. Meanwhile the water in front trickles throughout the recording. There’s plenty of other birds such as coots, blue tits, jackdaws and occasionally crows and gulls. Also some distant traffic.
