Thanks! :) I've always thought that the whole pedestrian area of York is a fascinating place for sounds. The quality of buskers is pretty high and you get a very varied mix of accents, from Scottish to Chinese! The thing that intrigues me the most is that as you walk, you can hear snippets of people's conversations but only enough to catch your imagination. Then the next people past add something which takes the first comment to a new dimension: "Is your Harry still off work...(fades)" - "yeh, but it really started when he threw the dog into the garden" -all very Brian Eno. Now that I've started this scrapbook, I plan to go and try and capture some of these surreal 'cutandpaste' conversations, which will no doubt be against a backdrop of a cellist or flute player.

Bagpipes!?! - oh yes! I remember him. haha. Long since gone. ;)

Great bunch of uploads! This reminds me of when I worked in York - third floor in Parliament Street. The sounds of the street would drift up with buskers and general sounds. It was cool apart from the bagpipes player who would really start to grate after a couple of hours.
