Out and about in York, UK, with a minidisc recorder at a street market. I discovered this manic street preacher on a corner in full flight. You can hear the audio come in and out of focus as he strutted up and down the path, Bible in hand. Recorded Nov 8th 2008.

Ever since I heard this on the song "It Gets Better" by fun. —off of their hit album "Some Nights"— almost a decade ago I've been trying to find this sample. My search came to an end whilst on my annual beach trip. I immediately bookmarked this page and logged back into an account I haven't been on in 6+ years at this point. I just want to say, thank you for keeping this up for as long as you have, otherwise this would have became lost media. I especially would like to thank the person who posted this on the ournameisfun subreddit. It's unfortunate that it took me a year to find it since it was posted, but I partially feel like my life is more complete after discovering this without any music behind it.

Great capture on this clip. Thank you for sharing! I used it in an atmospheric track with several voice overlays including this preacher: https://nocauseforalarm.bandcamp.com/track/lingering-in-a-forlorn-fog
