I read the poem through an ancient carbon microphone (such stood in very old phones), which I adapted to work from a mixing console and phantom power according to a simple scheme of my own design.

You don't know how good it is to hear a warm, human, good voice speaking Russian. You're getting such a bad press here, these days. And again, it's the RRRRRussians! I'm so fed up with all this shit. You freed us from Hitler. A russian sergeant let my grandmother flee, the last night before they closed the border.
