Mono recording of a large metal (iron?) frying pan being struck repeatedly with a timpani mallet. Sometimes centrally, sometimes nearer the edge, sometimes inside, sometimes on the outside, producing a range of differing "ding" sounds, with a variety of overtones and decay times.

Recorded using an iPaq PDA internal mic approx 8 inches from the sound source.

This was recorded to be a "being hit over the head with a frying pan" effect for a play.

Thanks, I needed the 'hit over the head' sound.
