me saying one of my poems "I promise you my heart"
"I Promise you my heart,
I promise I won't leave,
I promise everyday,
and I promise
I won't stay."
**Backbone of the poem is basically just like almost everything creative I do, It nearly always has 2 or 3 meanings to it. This one is actually cold blooded in many different ways. But it's a cold blooded poem that I actually think a lot of people understand. How many times have you been ghosted in your life?
People say all the right things, but the only promise you can count on is that none of them will stay. Even if they don't mean to leave, they can die in the middle of everything? Accidentally, or suicide, some people have suffered that loss.
That's why this poem is one of my favorites because it's doing what I love to do. Stab the mind with unusual, weird, truths. But as in all things art – what it means to you may be something completely different— and that's why art is beautiful. Even when it’s dark.
