Shanghai

A large group of old people singing together in Luxun Park, Shanghai. Luxun has a great gathering on the weekends of people singing, dancing, and hanging out. I think this is a pretty good capture of "Laoshi Wo Xiang Ni" - literally, "Teacher, I Think of You" It's a classic leftover from the communist era, when students were likely forced to sing songs like this in school.

Recorded with an Edirol R-09 HR in Shanghai, China, Spring 2011.
