Wind roaring through trees on Feb 28 2000 at night/early morning in Kent, south-east UK. The Microphones were on 1.5m stand inside 30cm cubic frames covered with lightweight acoustic grille fabric to stop wind-pop and the occasional drop of rain. Set about 10 metres from nearest tall trees - mainly Sycamore(leafless), a large North Atlantic Cedar and assorted stuff like Holly and Hawthorn.
This short cut has subtle tree trunk creaking from the Cedar(sounds similar to frogs croaking). See also windroar_blustery_20m00s for a longer cut with more dramatic gusts and squalls, or windroar_blackbird_8m41s.wav recorded nearer dawn with occasional blackbird wake-up calls. Sure SM57 mics in acoustic tents(see above) - home built Mic amp - Pioneer CD Recorder.
Unprocessed apart from slight gain-riding at end for seamless looping.
