A stereo field recording from the final evening of Saturn and Moon spotting at the Qattan Foundation terrace in Ramallah, Palestine. Recorded on November 4th, 2025, at 6:50 PM, this sound captures the atmosphere of a public astronomy event where families and participants (ages 12–50) learned to identify the Moon’s changing phases, locate stars, and use astronomical apps for observation.
Recorded with a Zoom H5 and Clippy XLR EM272Z1 mics (with fur windscreens), mounted on a stereo bar tripod.
Conditions were windy, adding a natural outdoor texture to the soundscape.

Oh, what a lovely recording. So peaceful. People tend to speak more softly in the evening. I will soon be taking my eight-year-old granddaughter to gaze at the sky again. I am going to teach her how to use the Skyview app. It is very useful for this purpose.
