I recorded a dish filled with a little bit of water, then tapped it with a spoon, but cut away the spoon, faded in and pitched dooown. Very strange, but very nice sound!
I was struggling to find whale sounds for a project I'm doing - bits of this actually sounded more authentic than the real thing!! Note: Shelf off the bottom end at around at about 120Hz and scoop out using a fairly broad Q at around 2kHz - there's some noise flutter on this that goes away nicely with the EQ cut at 2kHz

Just like the pitch bend guitar of my friend, when he runs it through ring modulation, auto-wha and whatever. Gotta let him hear this!
