Surmandal (Indian harp) is often used by vocalists as an accompaniment. Kaustuv Ganguli demonstrating how a set of notes (swaras) when played in different order sets the context of a particular raga. In the background drone is played on Tanpura. This demo was performed on Iphone and recorded using Sony PCM-D50 recorder.
