Paintbrush with rough bristles being dragged across dry waterpaint: the rough bristles of the paintbrush are dragged across the dry paint in a hard plastic container. Soft, yet harsh, scraping sounds. The sound was recorded with a Zoom H6 recorder, making use of the XY stereo microphone attachment. The sound was post-processed in Reaper DAW to remove low rumbles (high pass filter). The sound was recorded in the afternoon in a sound-proofed room in order to lessen the influence of external sounds in the recording.
