Heating cold water in an electric water boiler until boiling and automatic switch off. Notice the different sounds which develop during increasing temperature. I tried to repeat the recording (because of disturbing noise) but only this time those howling, squeaking tones appeared. I suppose they depend on the grade of calcarious sediments on the bottom of the device, the starting temperature or perhaps the amount of water. Surely one of the scientists among the freesounders can explain it. Sony ECM-MS907, Marantz PMD671.
