This is actually the sound my MSI laptop makes. I don't know what makes that sound -- the GPU? Or maybe they just made the cooling fans that way. Anyway, I put a pair of Neumann omnis basically on top of it, and recorded through an Allen&Heath SQ5 right into Samplitude. I used an FFT EQ to knock out all the ambient noise.
