For a class project, we needed the sounds of a character on screen struggling to escape from an asylum. She was struggling to get out of restraints, picking locks, hurried. We could not find a good sample to work with. So we brought in a female and had her two three or four takes. I provided all four takes spliced together so you might find the sound you need. If you use this, it would be nice if you could post a link for me to see the project. Thanks!

I was looking forward to using a couple of these grunts for a slapstick comedy soundtrack, especially since (as you noted) grunting sounds are hard to find here on Freesound. Unfortunately, my software doesn't support .aiff file format. Maybe I'll be able to convert it.
