Well it was hard to get this sound. I stole the elevator machine room key ^^. So this is a circa 20-25 years old, heavy, out of date elevator motor, recorded in the closed area on the roof of the building. The Elevator starts and moves probably 5-6 levels then stops. You can also hear automatic toggles, relays, elevator motor-curl and some transformer noise in the background.
