Soundscape recorded in the early hours of the morning, from the window of a room on the first floor of a house in the Ferrara countryside, surrounded by a large green park.
The recording was made using a ZOOM H1n handheld recorder with a windscreen.
Many biophonic sounds can be heard:
- pheasants;
- doves;
- fluttering and flapping sounds;
- cuckoos;
- crickets;
- frogs;
- crows and magpies
Other anthropophonic sounds are:
- sounds of farm machinery in the background in the distance (mostly, I think, water pump engines extracting water from canals/ditches for irrigating fields);
- a sound of a distant plane passing by over our heads;
Processing:

- gentle denoising (ReaFIR);
- volume boost
