Sound recording of the beginning of a long thunderstorm with heavy rain and thunderclaps. These are the opening thunderclaps, without rain. The recording was made in a residential area, in the middle of a courtyard. You can hear distant and near and dry thunderclaps. They bounce off the walls of tall buildings. The wind is blowing in the trees in the background and the yard birds are chattering among themselves. At #5:27, an electrical discharge sound is heard. It was lightning that struck the building, 70-80 meters away from me, followed by a dry and loud thunderclap.

Yes. I think everyone who records knows that thunderstorm recordings are probably some of the most difficult. Moreover, their correct processing.
Thank you so much for the warm feedback!

Love this.
My first thunderstorm attempt was with my Tascam FR-AV2 and a couple of Primo EM272M's.
They bottomed out in about 90% of the recording and left me very little to work with.
Learning curve.
Your thunder recordings are wonderful and crisp.
Very nice.
