Suburban soundscape recorded from about 07:50 (UTC) on 21/01/2026 in the UK. This is a mixture of anthropophony (throughout and includes, aircraft, road sounds and others), biophony (birds) and geophone (wind, including some wind chimes at time).
This was part of a nocturnal migration (NocMig) setup used to monitor the birds passing near the recording location. Single mic (clippy) with a fluffy as the only protection and a Zoom H1essential recorder.
Birds that can be heard include (note that some are more obvious than others!):
Magpie
Robin
Wood pigeon
Feral pigeon
Blue tit
Dunnock
Carrion crow
Grey wagtail
Redwing
Wings can also be heard at times.
Weather: light rain with gentle gusts of wind and temperature of about 7 or 8 C.
