Every year, at midday on the 1st Wednesday in May, 1,078 air raid sirens across Denmark are tested. I originally misidentified these as warning sirens from the local oil refinery. There are 3 signals:
12:00: "Go inside"
12:04: "Go inside"
12:08: "Danger is passed"

I found out later that the kids in school actually practice the full drill, and go inside to take cover!

The sirens heard are made by Whelen. They are probably the omni directional WPS-2800 or WPS-2900 series sirens. They all have the European tone set and are sounding in the Best Possible Protection Tone. Denmark has a lot of omni directional Whelem sirens.
