A “deer chaser,” also known as a “Shishi odoshi,” is a bamboo Japanese water fountain with an upright hollow pivoting arm attached to a water source that when the arm gets full it tips over creating a sharp unique sound. They were originally designed to scare deer away from a garden but are now also used as a garden ornament that adds a heartbeat to ones garden.
I recorded this in an authentic Japanese garden, I allowed it to strike two times so that you get the right amount of silence in-between that it takes for it to fill up before it strikes again.

Hi there,
I just wanted to let you know I'm using this sound in a game.
It's called Outlandish Move, and is designed to help Japanese students learning English.
I won't put the link on here (since I think that counts as spam), but it you google it, you can find it.
Many thanks ^_^

Outstanding! Thank you very much. (I'm going to use it to update the "Buddhist Temple" Natural Worlds soundscape that I made a long time ago - http://projects.gerryscuppatea.org/NaturalWorlds/FullList.php)
