Created using Waveform-10 and a few instances of the vst 'drumsynth'. there were various plugins used e.g mda-transient shaper , mastermix , af210m.

@acatnamedharmony Thanks, I had actually forgot just how good the MDA plugins are. Have you had a look at the transient shaper in AVA Drum Flow yet? ( Although not a free or open source plugin I'm tempted to invest in it ). It is I guess primarily aimed at live drums, but it can also be used to beef up synthesized drums.
