A 15 minute montage of binaural recordings made at the Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary (Ingleside, Ontario, Canada) in the Summer of 2006. It covers a 3 month period which was initially wet in the early weeks and dryer later on. The listeners will hear a variety of sounds ranging from birds, frogs and insects to distant human activity, airplanes and trains. Equipment used : Sony Minidisc (MZ NHF-800), binaural mics + preamp (www.visivoxtechnologies.com). Basically, this montage provides a sampling of what visitors can hear at the park. Sounds best with headphones. Enjoy !

Very good work. This is going in a song, using the birds part, very close to my hometown Maberly, Ontario. I'm trying to recapture the moment when i climbed to the tops of trees and fell asleep while mimicking bird calls in the countryside as a child. I honour this, and I honour you. Migwech.
