The arrival & departure of a double-headed diesel shunter train, recorded from the platform in close proximity to the open drivers cab (voices heard) and close to the engines. Distant arrival to a powerful rasping departure.
Recorded using a Tascam 70D 4 x channel recorder, using a matched pair of SE Electronics SE1 condenser mics in XY configuration. Both tripod mounted, fitted with Rycote Deadcat windshields. The recording was flat, with no limiter, effects, EQ or compression used.
